Our story
The story of La Torre della Limonaia estate starts in the early 1960s, but grounds its roots in far more distant ages. Three generations ago, leading Italian architect Vincenzo Monaco designed and built a modern villa perched on the Amalfi cliff, which in its modernity could fit naturally into the surrounding landscape. Today, that villa is what we call Villa Limonaia. As time went by, another villa joined the estate: the old Torre Badia, from the viceregal era, built in 1570 as a watchtower in defense of the Turks and pirates, was restored to become the current Villa Torre. Gradually, the smaller Villa Torrette, Villa Lindo and Villa Giggione have also joined the estate.
The more the beauty of the estate around us grew, with its luxuriant nature, the crystal clear sea and its ability to bring people together and make them feel at home, the more we became convinced that it should be shared with anyone who could appreciate it. This is how this special project was born, which you lives today in La Torre della Limonaia.
